"For me, RST is theideal way to start my career"

I have been working as a software developer at RST since December 2023. This is my first job after completing my studies, and as a young professional, it really couldn’t have been better for me!

I work in the defense division on tactical situation displays for mission planning. The corresponding software is incredibly diverse and allows me to develop professionally in various areas. I can gain experience in both front-end and database areas, and thus learn to understand the interaction of the various components in detail. If I ever encounter a problem, my experienced colleagues are always happy to help and advise me. What I also find special is that my work has an exciting and direct application in the real world. Regular exchanges with clients give me new insights into different work processes. These diverse impressions made my probationary period fly by.

The fact that time passes so quickly here at RST is also due to the working environment: surrounded by nice colleagues, there is always something to laugh about. In particular, the mixed age structure on my floor makes chatting over a coffee or tea together exciting. And it’s not just larger events such as Christmas or summer parties that strengthen team spirit, but also smaller events such as a joint bike ride for the city cycling event, a visit to the Christmas market, or simply a cozy get-together in the kitchen over delicious birthday cake.

Another bonus for me is the working conditions. The flexitime system allows for flexible organization of the day, so you can really make the most of the proximity to the sea when the weather is good. And as a dog owner, the possibility of mobile working is, of course, also very convenient for me!
