An eye on the entiredevelopment process

Silo mentality was yesterday. Our opinion: a holistic end-to-end understanding is the key to success when developing complex systems and products.

No matter whether a selected partial solution or a completed comprehensive solution: our experts always have an eye on the entire development process. From analysis of the technical challenge via finding the appropriate solution to final implementation or production and maintenance.

We thus assume complex process steps within the development cycle competently and passionately for you, adding the results seamlessly to the overall context. Or we are responsible for the entire end-to-end development process and also supply the fitting product if wished – for example as prototypes and functional samples, special industrial systems, test systems, ground support equipment or simulators.

The ISTAR program (In-flight Systems & Technology Airborne Research) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) is the world's only platform for research into flight physics, flight control, flight guidance and unmanned aerial systems. It serves the development of environmentally friendly and efficient aircraft, propulsion systems, and pilot assistance systems (more here). KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the national airline of the Netherlands, relies on the extensive cabin expertise of RST Rostock System-Technik: the airline has added a cabin simulator for the Airbus A320 aircraft model to its training center in Schiphol. Data Transmission Demonstrator for the automotive industry

The expansion of e-mobility is accompanied by a significantly increasing need for communication as well as high demands on communication speeds in vehicle control systems. Against the backdrop of these developments, RST Rostock System-Technik conducted a feasibility study on behalf of a well-known company from the automotive industry. The aim was to verify demanding, functional communication requirements for the existing system architecture and identify corresponding system limits.

Adjustment and test benches for semiconductor production

A well-known company of the semiconductor industry assigned RST Rostock System-Technik to develop and manufacture adjustment and test benches for optical systems. In the chip production, manufacturers rely on complex industrial cameras for optical quality control and automation. In order to be able to extensively test and calibrate these sensitive cameras before they are installed in the production facilities, a high-precision and specially adapted measuring and test environment is required.

MGSE for the ISS Bartolomeo platform

Test bench for radial plain bearings for ships’ shaft drives

RST Rostock System-Technik developed a test bench for the development of radial plain bearings for ships’ shaft drives, which were to be lubricated by seawater instead of oil or grease. The test bench enables the use of purified seawater with any media and sediment in order to simulate highly-varied ambient conditions. This development was made for SKF Marine.
