I have been working for RST Rostock System-Technik since 2005, currently in the function of the “Head of Sales & Marketing“. My path here was marked by very different stations: after starting as a systems engineer in the area of aircraft cabin development, following various project manager functions, I was entrusted with the responsibility for leading the respective department as of 2011. After restructuring of the company, I assumed the management of the former department “Mechanical and Electrical Systems” in 2015. In this business area, on top of engineering services, RST offers end-to-end product development including manufacturing and market placement for international aviation, space, defence and industry customers.
This development path was the ideal precursor for my current role. As a critical interface between RST and customers both externally and internally, I record our customers’ requirements and wishes and translate them into technical service and product concepts. Based on this, the technical experts at RST then work out the final solutions. Therefore, in addition to creativity and agility, my job also requires comprehensive process knowledge and wide-ranging technical know-how. It also provides me the opportunity to exercise direct influence on business development.
And precisely that makes working for RST really special for me: We are a medium-sized company with flat structures which allow each and every employee to help shape corporate development proactively – beyond the bounds of their own position. Simultaneously, RST offers an exciting functional mix of various engineering services and product developments for international customers from interesting technical sectors.
