RST Rostock System-Technik looks back on two exciting weeks at the trade fair: The Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg brought together the "Who's Who" in the field of aircraft cabin interiors from May 28-30; one week later, the ILA, Europe's largest aerospace exhibition, then attracted industry representatives and enthusiasts from all over the world to Berlin.
Both trade fairs impressed with a wide variety of technological innovations that are representative of the transformation of our industry. This also applies to the exhibits at the joint stand of the FERCHAU Aviation Group: at AIX, the Airbus A321 door trainer on display generated a great deal of interest in RST's comprehensive Cabin & Cockpit Trainer portfolio. The real highlight, however, was LiquiDrone: RST's BMDV-funded joint research project with BaltiCo, the University of Rostock and the Center of Applied Aeronautical Sciences in Hamburg (ZAL), was not only honored at the ILA as part of an official closing ceremony, but was also a real crowd-puller as the centerpiece of the FERCHAU Aviation Group's stand.
LiquiDrone stands for the development of an intelligent, thermally optimized liquid hydrogen tank system for drones. The project target is a flight time of up to 10 hours; 8 hours have already been successfully tested. This result impressed the expert audience and led to lively discussions regarding potential applications - both in the civilian and military sectors. And for political delegations from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Hamburg (State Secretary Jochen Schulte, Economics Minister Reinhard Meyer and State Councillor Andreas Rieckhof), the exhibited drone and its innovative technology were the perfect reason to visit the stand.
And it continues: On June 26 and 27, RST will be on tour again - at the joint stand of the FERCHAU Aviation Group at the AFCEA defense exhibition in Bonn.
We will report back!
