RST has been selected by Airbus Defence and Space for the development and manufacturing of the power and thermal subsystem SCOE (special check-out equipment) for the MERLIN climate mission.
The payload of the Franco-German mini satellite MERLIN (Methane Remote Sensing LIDAR Mission) will be developed by Airbus Defence and Space on behalf of DLR. Objective of the MERLIN mission is to obtain gradients of the atmospheric methane.
The SCOE will be used for functional and acceptance testing of the power and thermal subsystem of the MERLIN payload. It is based on RST’s latest software platform for EGSE. Delivery will be in February 2018.
With this SCOE RST will further demonstrate its leading role in providing development and delivery of test equipment for aerospace applications.
