Test bench forelectrical parametersfor thermal spraying

Within the scope of a project sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft [German Research Foundation] (DFG), RST Rostock System-Technik developed a test bench for the RWTH [Rhineland-Westphalian Technical College] Aachen. Based on the examination of coated material samples, the test bench enables the determination of electrical parameters within the scope of thermal spraying of surface coatings of components.

RST was responsible for the entire development process for the mechanical, electronic and software technical (control) components of the test bench – from its design via integration and verification to CE certification including subsequent commissioning at the customer’s. This project’s highlights included the development of the sampling room with the required attachment and holding mechanism for the samples to be examined.
