Optimized development andcustomizing processesfor cabin modules

Within the scope of the basic development and customer-specific customization processes for cabin modules, RST Rostock System-Technik was commissioned by an aviation OEM to support and harmonise process management across different aircraft programmes.

RST assumed the consolidation of evaluation criteria for the customer for the realisation of the important development milestones/reviews for various aircraft programmes: 

• Critical analysis and evaluation of change requirements for harmonisation of the different processes. 
• Creation of a comprehensive user manual for describing product review coordination. 
• Validation of the new process description with the process owners.
• Replacement of the reference method. 

The elaborated user manual offers the customer a lean, integrated process depiction. In addition to a better common understanding, from now on short-term staff transfers between the aircraft programmes can take place based on the manual without programme-specific training becoming necessary.
