Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) is one of the world's leading full-service providers in the field of flight training (initial training and development) for cockpit and cabin crews. The wholly owned subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group pays special attention to effective and realistic training of crews and has nearly 200 training devices - including simulators, mock-ups and training aircraft - at seven training centers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In this context, a long-standing partnership has developed between LAT and RST Rostock System-Technik, a supplier of modern aviation simulators and training equipment. Among other things, LAT ordered an Airbus A350 door trainer from Rostock. RST's modern door trainers enable efficient training of aircraft crews in important operational procedures - from passenger service to emergency evacuation.

RST developed the simulator tailored to LAT's specific needs. As training operations are designed for "24/7” use, the training system was developed taking special use and maintenance conditions into account. The exact reproduction of airline-specific details in the cabin interior and the use of original components with original and training functionalities complete the training concept.
