The challenge
RST Rostock System-Technik was commissioned by an aviation OEM with the definition and functional modelling of a wireless heater control unit (WHCU), including corresponding interfaces and signal paths.
It was important to simulate the operative behaviour of the WHCU, to test and improve the specification and to verify the model’s functionality in good time.
The challenge
Modelling took place based on model-based systems engineering (MSBE), thus enabling early verification of functionalities using a digital twin.
The RST experts depicted the specification as a complete model in the Rational Rhapsody development environment, conducted a gap analysis and secured the traceability of all requirements. Moreover, all interfaces and functions were defined, communication simulated and the results documented.
