Wire harnesses forpassenger andcargo aircraft

Airbus Helicopters in Germany is also a manufacturer of aircraft doors for the Airbus civil aircraft sector. The manufacturing services for some of the integrated wire harnesses is realised with external partners. Since 2005, RST Rostock System-Technik is successfully responsible for manufacturing the passenger and cargo door wire harnesses for the single-aisle and long-range family.

Based on the technical and regulatory specifications, RST manufactures wire harnesses for Airbus Helicopters at its own manufacturing site, which are then integrated into the aircraft doors by the client. Within the scope of manufacturing planning and controlling, forecasts from Airbus Helicopters' operational planning are taken over in the manufacturing process. Warehousing at the customer's is optimised via so-called “vendor-managed inventories”.
